The Original Article Announcement Lists

The Article Announce groups are the original article announcement lists providing free content to thousands of ezines, newsletters, magazines and web sites.

If you're in need of quality, free content, subscribe to Article Announce or an appropriate targeted Article Announce group. You will receive new articles each day from a wide variety of writers. 

If you're concerned about receiving too much email, you will have the option to subscribe to the digest version and only receive one message each day or the web version and receive no email and read posts online.

Article Publishing Guidelines:

If you would like to publish an article, you may do so free of charge; however, you must follow these guidelines:

  1. You MUST reply to the article's author and let them know when and where their article will be published.
  2. You MUST include the author's bylines (resource box).
  3. You MUST send the author a courtesy copy of your publication (if applicable).
  4. You MUST follow the author's publishing guidelines.
  5. If you would like to publish an article within an HTML publication or on your web site, you must create hyperlinks to the author's web site.
  6. You do not have the right to distribute the articles or give publishing rights to others.


Submit Your Articles

Announce your articles available for publication to our entire subscriber base of ezine, newsletter and magazine publishers, completely free.

We will accept most article submissions, however, we will not accept any adult content, slanderous or defamatory articles, articles promoting spam, warez, chainletters, business opportunities, hate, violence or discrimination against any ethnic groups of any kind.

We reserve the right to reject (delete) any article submissions that we deem to be inappropriate.

Article Submission Guidelines:

All of the groups are moderated and articles will not be posted until they're reviewed by the moderator. However, subscribers that consistently follow the guidelines will be given unmoderated posting privileges.

NOTICE: Due to the large number of article submissions, the posting guidelines will be strictly enforced. Articles that do not conform will be rejected. To ensure that your article is posted, you must follow ALL of the guidelines.

  1. You MUST be subscribed to the Article Announcement list you wish to submit.
  2. You MUST be the author, or a representative of the author, of any articles you submit.
  3. Publishing guidelines MUST be included at the TOP of your submission.

    Example Guidelines:

    You have permission to publish this article electronically or in print, free of charge, as long as the bylines are included. A courtesy copy of your publication would be appreciated.

  4. Author bylines (resource box) MUST be included at the BOTTOM of the article and should not exceed 6-8 lines.

    Jane Smith is the author of "The Secrets of Internet Marketing Success." She has helped thousands of individuals succeed online. Visit her site to find out how you can get a free consultation http://www.site.com or mailto:Jane@site.com

  5. Articles MUST be properly formatted and submitted in PLAIN TEXT format. The standard acceptable line-length is 60 - 65 characters including spaces. You can format your article online here.

    In addition, articles MUST be single spaced.

  6. Your article title MUST be placed within your email subject, as well as with your article. (Nothing else should appear in the subject.)
  7. Articles may only be posted ONCE. Do not post the same article to any group more than one time. It will be deleted. In addition do not post more than one article per group per day. If more than one article is posted within a 24-hour period, it will be deleted without notice.
  8. Articles may be posted to the main Article Announce group and any appropriate targeted subgroups. Articles posted to an inappropriate group will be deleted without notice.
  9. Article corrections may be posted to the groups by placing the word Correction or Revised within the email subject before your article title.
  10. Press releases may be posted to the groups only if they are formatted as a press release and follow the submission guidelines.
  11. Article Requests may be posted to the groups. However, you must include the type of article you're looking for and a submission email address.
  12. Do not include any advertising within your posts. Your author bylines are sufficient. Articles containing any advertising will be rejected.

You MUST be subscribed to each group you post. However, you can visit the group's main page and opt to receive no email.

Posting Instructions:

You can post an article to the groups in one of two ways:

  • Visit your "My Groups" page and post online: http://groups.yahoo.com/mygroups

  • Paste your article into an email message and send it to the groups "Post" address. Keep in mind, if you post your article via email, you must send it from the email address you used to subscribe to the group. In addition, file attachments will not be accepted.

To post your article:

1. Submit your article to Article Announce - All Articles
2. Submit your article to any appropriate targeted subgroups

If your article isn't approved, you will receive notice (unless it was a "sales letter" or posted to an inappropriate subgroup and was deleted).

Please make sure you follow ALL of the submission guidelines. Once you understand how the groups operate, and you continually follow the guidelines, you will be given unmoderated posting privileges. This will enable you to post articles directly to the groups without moderation.

Group Removal Procedure:

  • Sales letters are not articles and will be deleted without notice. Excessive abuse will result in immediate removal from the group without notice.
  • Subscribers who excessively disregard the submission guidelines will be removed from the groups without notice.
  • Subscribers using autoresponders to reply to article submissions will be removed from the groups without notice.
  • Subscribers replying to article submissions with advertisements will be removed from the groups without notice.

SPAM will not be tolerated.

If you would like to modify your subscription, you can do so by visiting the group's main page and clicking on the "Edit My Membership" link.

You will have the option to receive individual article posts, a daily digest of the articles, no email, or special notices from the moderator only.

Unsubscribing

If you would like to unsubscribe from a group, you must send a blank email message to the group's Unsubscribe address. This message must be sent from the email address you used to subscribe to the group.
