Product Review: Quicktell Autoresponder Service

There are several NECESSITIES if you want to have a successful site on the web:

A web site that looks professional

A web site that scores consistent traffic

A newsletter

A Pop-Up to get people to subscribe

An automatic way to follow-up on the NON-buyers

That's where an autoresponder comes in.

An autoresponder will send out one or more messages to the people who stop by your site encouraging them to buy your product or service. If you are not getting any sales, it could be that you are not using an autoresponder--or not using it well.

You can get autoresponders from several places.

Most people first get a FREE autoresponder from their web host. While this sounds like a good idea, it lacks a little in execution. A free autoresponder from a web host typically holds only one message, and lacks the ability to automatically unsubscribe or even maintain a mail list. If you really want to be agressive in your use of autoresponders, this is typically not a good option.

(I should add that what I am telling you is true IN GENERAL, some web hosts have great autoresponders and you can use those well. Most do not.)

A second option is using one of the FREE services. Here is what I found with them:

First, they almost all require an ad--possibly from one of your competitors--to be placed at the top of your message. That kills you credibility and might take away sales you otherwise could have had.

Second, they are often unreliable. They may get the job done, they may not (GetResponse is a notable EXCEPTION to that, they are one free service that seems to run very smoothly).

A third option is to PAY for an AUTORESPONDER SERVICE.

Almost all of the free autoresponder services offer an enhanced PAY version. They take out the ads and allow you more messages and enhanced editing and mail list features.

The most notable of these is Get Response.

I originally looked at Get Response, but decided against using them. They charge a monthly fee of around $20--which sounds reasonable--until you realize that is for JUST ONE autoresponder. Since I run about 60 at any given time, that would cost me almost $120 per month.

After looking at all the other, less well known, services out there, I finally settled on Quicktell.

Quicktell provides two service--standard and advanced. Let's look at each of these:

The standard service gives you UNLIMITED autoresponder accounts, with up to 20 messages in each. Let me explain what that means: You can set up 100 different autoresponders and put up to 20 messages in each one. There is no charge PER RESPONDER. It provides just basic autoresponder service and would be great for anyone just starting out and on a tight budget.

The advanced service gives you everything that the standard service provides, plus some tools that will REALLY HELP the aggressive marketer. The list of additional tools is so long that you would have to go to the site (click here) to really appreciate it.

My tack on it is this:

If the $10 makes that much of a difference, then start out with the basic service. It's solid and will get the job done. But, I will GUARANTEE YOU that if you use the advanced service for just one month, you will never want to go back. ANYONE should be able to turn that extra $10 into more sales and saved time with the advanced service.

Using Quicktell I am able to manage and maintain all of my lists with ease. Right now I have THOUSANDS of people on my newsletter lists, with several hundred more joining each week. I never have to lift a finger to maintain my list. Just that is worth the $30.

In addition, Quicktell allows me to send out mass mailings with ease--and without getting in trouble with my ISP for tying up the servers.
