You need to be collecting the names and email addresses of people who are prospects for your affiliate products. One of the best ways to do that is to create a free report with a compelling theme for your target market.

For example: My target market is internet business owners and want-to-be owners. So, last year, I created a report detailing how I was able to pile up over $7,500 in profits in less than 30 days, starting from scratch.
