How many times a day do you try to sit up straight because you realize you are completely hunched over your keyboard like the hunchback of Notre Dame?

Does the small of your back feel like you have a brick in the back of your chair?

Do you work so many hours a day that you don't have time to exercise?

Help is here!

Break Pal Cardio is a fun little utility that sits quietly in your task bar down at the bottom of your desktop. But every thirty minutes - look out - Liz is there cajoling you to get up out of your seat and move around!

Did you know that exercise is cumulative? I didn't either until I checked out their web site. 3 minutes at a time every thirty minutes for 8 hours a day equals 48 minutes. That is the same thing as doing one regular work out per day!

Break Pal Cardio has an internal timer that goes off every thirty minutes throughout the day and pops up over whatever you are doing for your 3 minute workout.

The exercises are all fun and easy to do; they remind me of my Tae-Bo video tape. Liz tells you what the exercise is and there is also a video of her doing the exercise that runs for the whole three minutes for you to follow and see how to do each exercise.

If, for some reason, it pops up right in the middle of a meeting with your boss there is a dismiss button so you can shut it down for another thirty minutes. However, since you will learn the cobra move, you could just break his nose! I'm kidding. really, I am.

The only two problems I have with the program are:

One is that the timer doesn't count while you are exercising. I know it's only three minutes, but if you are an out of shape computer nerd this could seem like eternity the first couple of times. :) Actually, I just like to know how much longer I have to go.

And I think that the price is a little high for this type of utility, but it is a heck of a lot cheaper, $49 for the full version, than joining a gym and you can use it every day instead of every three days.

Of course, you can also use the 5 exercise only (The full version has lots more) free trial for a while to try it out so that isn't such a big deal either.

It is fun, you learn how to kick as high as your waist like Kung Fu, and you can break your boss's nose if he gets out of line!

I say it's a winner!
