Welcome to this week's I-Marketer, we’re glad you’re here!
For the last 25 years or so in the western world there has been
a huge emphasis on success. As the west becomes more affluent,
we have begun to expect our lives to be filled with success in
every area-whether that be financial or familial, social or
physical.
We expect success.
At the same time there has been a growing understanding that
success in one arena doesn’t necessarily translate into success
in all arenas. A business leader seeing his family disintegrate
while his career soars; An esteemed academic losing his health
at too young an age.
Often "success" is one-dimensional.
I truly believe most of us want much more than one-dimensional
success, we want the resources, health, faith and relationships
to enjoy the few years we have here on earth.
After studying success for the last 20 years, I believe I have
seen common definitions of success for each area of life-and I
believe most of us can achieve a reasonable and fulfilling level
of success in every area. Here is the definition I have found:
Whole-Life Success is:
When we are spiritually in tune with our own deeply held
convictions;
When our family is happy and healthy;
When we are mentally sharp, peaceful and optimistic;
When we are physically healthy, fit and attractive;
When in our relationships with others we are experiencing and
giving love and encouragement;
When financially we have more than enough.
Over the next several weeks I am going to be breaking each of
these down to help you experience greater levels of whole life
success.
In the mean time I am interested in seeing how you see whole
life success. I have put together a 3 minute success survey you
can access here:
