Each week I send out tens-of-thousands of emails. They are the lifeblood of my business. I earn 10-20 cents each month for each subscriber on my list. While you may not make quite as much from your own list, following these steps will get you to a level of profitable email marketing most people only dream of.

Follow These Steps to Build a Huge, Profitable Mailing List all without sending one piece of spam!

1. Get a Quality Autoresponder.
   
   The autoresponder you use should be able to automatically subscribe and unsubscribe people from your newsletter list as well as send out broadcast emails.
   
   Here are some I recommend:
   
   Aweber - about $20 per month. This one has great reliability and service. Only one autoresponder per account limits flexibility a little, and extra charges can ad up.
   
   GetResponse - Ad supported free or non-ad at $20 per month. Decent responders, though pricey for large lists or multiple responders.
   
   FreeAutoBot - FREE with NO ADS. They do a decent job, but can have some reliability problems. Broadcast emails are also not available, meaning you have to load your ezine as a follow-up message. You cannot import email addresses, though you can export them if you want to move them to another mailer program.
   
   
2. Sign Up for Free Subscriber Co-Ops.
   
   There are a variety of subscriber co-ops that will send you a subscriber in return for publishing an ad for that subscriber. For our current list, send a blank email to:

3. Set Up an Incentive for Subscribing.
   
   You need to have some way of rewarding the people who subscribe to your ezine. Search for free ebooks to download or--even better--come up wtih some other bonus you put together yourself.
   
   
4. Sign up with Subscriber Services.
   
   There are a couple places where you can receive subscribers free.
   
   Push Button Leads If you sign up here for two ezine subscriptions, they will furnish you with subscribers free for 15 days. It's almost a no-brainer to sign up for this one.
   
   ListFire While a slower and more interactive approach, this will provide you a good number of subscribers over the long haul. The key to making this successful is to create a page that collects the email address for you so that you actually get the email address, rather than simply sending people to Mike Chen.
